The Vintage Scamp is proud to offer eclectic and timeless custom jewelry created with vintage treasures and modern elements. Each piece is hand designed with the intent of rediscovering the romance of a time gone by but with the style of contemporary fashion.
The custom jewelry on these pages is hand crafted in our cottage which is located on the beautiful coast of Maine in the fishing village of Harpswell. Our home is filled with antiques and vintage pieces that have special meanings, nostalgic remembrances or historic appeal.
So, it is no coincidence that, no matter what the season, we are always in search of vintage jewelry. We scout the current estate sales, auctions, flea markets, antiques mills, junk shops and yard sales for the most amusing figurals, the most stunning rhinestones and most gorgeous, lavish vintage brooches and we update our selections each and every time we are lucky enough to find something special in vintage finds to offer you.
What a thrill to uncover a sparkling Sherman vintage brooch or a Lisner necklace or an outstanding set of Juliana. Coro, Lisner, Sarah Coventry and Trifari. Frequently, I run across some spectacular piece from one of the fashion designer or something special from an obscure manufacturer or a centuries old piece that we must research. I always wonder and dream about where they came from, who wore them, where have they been and why do we have them. It is always a bit sad to think that the people may be gone but the pieces live on. Giving them a new life with a new owner somehow makes such a difference to me.
Our Commitment to Green
Staying as green as possible is important to us. We throw nothing away but recycle all of our pieces in some fashion. Any of our vintage jewelry that is not appropriate for a new life will be dismantled and used in one of our refashioned and re-purposed vintage pieces. Combining these lovely pieces of the past result in stunning, modern statement pieces which will be noticed and admired whenever you wear them.
In addition, we have tried to stay green with our shipping materials but sometimes the results have not been so successful. Now we use the post office to guide us and use shipping materials that will best protect our products. Whenever possible, our shipping materials will be produced from recycled materials but the safety of our vintage jewelry is always our primary concern.
To further emphasize our commitment to our green effort, each of our orders is gift wrapped in lovely silver 100% recycled gift boxes.

Shipping couldn’t be simpler! A flat rate of $1 per order is charged for vintage pieces shipped anywhere in the continental United States. Please contact our customer service for international shipping.

Our gift wrapping consists of a lovely silver linen gift box made of 100% recycled materials with a matching silver stretch band ribbon.
